Jeff Vastola Legal Tip: Florida PIP Law

If you have been in a motor vehicle accident and feel as though you may have been injured, seek medical attention from an emergency room, an urgent care facility, or a qualified physician as soon as possible.  Florida’s PIP law was amended several years ago and now requires that you receive treatment for an “emergency medical condition” within 14 days of the crash.  If you fail to do so, your entitlement to $10,000 (or more depending on how much you have purchased from your automobile insurer) in PIP benefits will be significantly reduced, if not eliminated.

If you have any questions regarding this aspect of a car accident, or any other type of injury claim feel free to contact; we have offices in Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart.
